Why the Y1Rs is
the fastest Colnago ever.
The Y1Rs represents a seismic shift for Colnago — their first dedicated aero road bike since the Concept in 2017. Developed in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and Khalifa University, every tube profile was refined through advanced CFD simulation, then validated with 3D-printed prototypes in the wind tunnel.
The result: a bike that saves 20 watts at 50 km/h compared to the V4Rs. In real-world terms, that means riding at the same speed with significantly less effort — or going faster for the same power output. Pogačar chose to ride the Y1Rs for every road stage of the 2025 Tour de France, winning the yellow jersey and four stages.
The revolutionary CC.Y1 gull-wing handlebar with WYND technology reduces frontal area by 19%. The DEFY seatpost joint improves aerodynamics while absorbing vibrations. And with 3.5% more stiffness than its predecessor, the Y1Rs transfers every watt of power directly to the road.
