Why the V5Rs is
the lightest Colnago ever.
The V5Rs is the latest evolution of Colnago’s legendary V-Series — the lightest frame they’ve ever made at just 685 grams. Developed with Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates, drawing on aerodynamic insights from the Y1Rs project to create a climbing bike with drag performance close to dedicated aero frames.
The V5Rs is 12.5% lighter than its predecessor while maintaining identical stiffness. Its frontal area has been reduced by 13% to just 250 cm² — close to pure aero frames. A narrower head tube and redesigned fork with 32mm tire clearance give it handling precision that Pogačar trusts on the steepest mountain stages.
Advanced lamination techniques achieve the weight reduction without compromising durability. The BSA threaded bottom bracket simplifies maintenance while the UDH rear derailleur hanger ensures compatibility with all modern groupsets. When the road tilts up, the V5Rs is the bike Pogačar reaches for.
