Time
trial.
No compromise.
Two generations of pure speed. The TT1 — Colnago’s first disc-brake time trial bike, race-proven across the World Tour and in stock now. The TT2 — the latest evolution, refined in the Politecnico di Milano wind tunnel. Both engineered around one purpose: the rider, the road, the clock.
A race against
the clock alone.
Time trialling is the purest test in cycling. No wheel to follow, no draft to share — just the rider, the bike, and the road. Every watt counts. Every gram of drag costs seconds. Every detail of position, equipment, and aerodynamics decides the result.
Colnago’s time trial bikes are built for this discipline. Developed alongside UAE Team Emirates and tested at the wind tunnel of the Politecnico di Milano University, they have carried riders to victories at the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and beyond.
Two bikes share this lineage today: the TT1, the bike that introduced disc brakes to Colnago’s time trial program and continues to win at the highest level — and the TT2, the new chapter, refined for the most technical courses of the modern World Tour.

The TT1 was Colnago’s first time trial bike designed around disc brakes — a complete ground-up redesign that brought hydraulic stopping power, thru-axle stiffness, and refined aero integration to their TT program. Developed in CFD and validated in the Politecnico di Milano wind tunnel, it has been the choice of UAE Team Emirates from the day it debuted at the 2022 Giro d’Italia.
The frame uses a bayonet fork — the legs serve as two thin aero plates that reduce frontal area without sacrificing torsional stiffness. Blade-shaped tubes follow new UCI guidelines for more aggressive geometry. A 3D-printed bottle cage integrates into the down tube as an aerodynamic extension of the frame.
A monocoque carbon basebar — lighter, stiffer and more aero than the K.One it replaced — is compatible with Colnago’s own aero cockpit and aftermarket aerobars including the Deda Jet One favoured by UAE Team Emirates. The TT1 is delivered as a complete framekit including frame, fork, seatpost, headset, basebar, bottle and bottle cage (chrono appendages sold separately).

The latest
evolution.
Unveiled in 2026 and debuted at the Tour de Suisse, the TT2 carries forward the design language of the TT1 while refining the details for the increasingly technical courses of the modern World Tour. A new XS size bridges the gap for smaller riders. Cable routing has been moved through ports in the head tube for a cleaner frontal area.
The development followed the same disciplined path: CFD modelling first, then the wind tunnel at the Politecnico di Milano University — tested both as a stand-alone bike and with a mannequin to validate real-world performance. The stack-to-reach ratio has been recalibrated to reduce the need for tall spacer towers, allowing aggressive positions without losing stability.
The new Colnago Aero Bottle uses a Fidlock TWIST magnetic mount and is designed as a legal fairing element between the rider’s legs. Every framekit sold includes the bottle system — the same package that will be racing at the World Tour level.

Built in CFD.
Refined at Politecnico di Milano.
Both TT1 and TT2 were developed using the same disciplined process. First, virtual aerodynamic modelling — Colnago’s engineers iterate on tube shapes, fork geometry, and integration in CFD before any carbon is laid. Then the wind tunnel at the Politecnico di Milano University validates those simulations under realistic conditions, testing both with a stand-alone bike and with a mannequin to capture the actual aerodynamic system the rider creates on the road.
It’s the same university whose engineers helped develop Italian motorsport for decades. The result, in TT bikes, is a frame that is not only fast on paper but stays fast in the conditions the rider will actually face — crosswinds, cornering, technical sections, and the small adjustments every TT specialist makes throughout an effort.
